ModusToolbox™ 3.0 is an enhanced development platform with enhanced support for multicore project workflows, including support for dual-core devices, new graphical tools for customer Board Support Package (BSP) development, infrastructure support for the ModusToolbox package, and back-end system enhancements. Infineon's ModusToolbox 3.0 enables project creation and management for dual-core applications and supports simultaneous debugging of both cores, helping designers reduce overall development work. This feature, previously not available in the Eclipse IDE for the ModusToolbox development platform, allows developers to utilize the full potential of dual-core devices such as Infineon's PSoC™ 6.

ModusToolbox 3.0 provides a unique developer experience and supports a variety of use cases such as consumer IoT, industrial, smart home, and wearables. The features of ModusToolbox 3.0 are suitable for developing embedded applications using Infineon product solutions such as △PSoC 4 △PSoC 6, XMC™ △AIROC™ Wi-Fi △AIROC Bluetooth® △EZ-PD™ PMG1 microcontrollers.

The ModusToolbox tool package can be downloaded from the Infineon Developer Center. This installation tool package is available for Windows, Linux, and MacOS. The installation method is explained in the ModusToolbox installation guide. The latest version of ModusToolbox runtime software can be accessed directly from installed development tools.
